National Geographic MetaLens in VE
Integration of NGS MetaLens Assets and VE
National Geographic's MetaLens is the premier geospatial Digital Asset Management system
for geo-referencing, management, retrieval, and real-time delivery of digital media.
MetaLens is Web-based, platform-flexible, collaborative, and secure. DTS worked closely
with National Geographic to integrate and cluster their digital assets in Virtual Earth. Enjoy
the amazing digital assets and our VE demo site for NGS here. Mouse over a yellow
National Geographic box to view imagery and information. Click on boxes with a red cross to view clustered images and information. Zoom in to "uncluster"
the assets.
MAC Vehicle Street Viewer
MAC Vehicle data in VE
The "MAC" (Mobile Asset Collection) vehicle is outfitted with state-of-the-art
data collection instruments. The combination of digital cameras, ground-based LiDAR,
Inertial Measuring Units (IMU), Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, and data
collection software enables us to efficiently collect above-ground roadway infrastructure
and deliver it in an efficient manner. The MAC vehicle collects geo-referenced information
related to above-ground roadway data.
This demo integrates MAC Vehicle data and street level photos in SQL 2008 with Virtual Earth. Click on a
point to open the photo browser. Click Next or Previous photo to move up or down the street.

Global Dataset with Point Clustering
Thousands of Points in an Easy to Understand Map
When dealing with global datasets, it's difficult to view tons of data and easily understand what you're
seeing. Using a clustering algorithm, we make it easy to view thousands of data points at global scales. This
application pulls XY data directly from SQL 2008 and clusters it for display in Virtual Earth. Cruise the planet
and this application demo here.
Tahoe Integrated Information Management System
Forest Fuels Projects from AGS Tiles
DTS built a VE application for sharing forest fuel project location with the public in the Tahoe Basin. This application
pulls ArcGIS server tiles into a VE front end to display useful data for planners and the general public. Swish on over to
the demo site here.
